Chuck's family and colleagues have establed the MIT Charles E. Kolb Lectureship to honor his contributions to atmospheric and environmental chemistry.

The first lecture, held on May 9, 2024, was delivered by Professor Steven C. Wofsy, Abbott Lawrence Rotch Professor of Atmospheric and Environmental Science at Harvard University. Entitled, "The Rise of Atmosphereic Methane and Prospects for Bending the Curve," the lecture highlighted his work studying atmospheric methane's impacts on the environment.
